The Demise of Woolworths
I read in the national press about the demise of the Woolworths chain. I believe that the demise started back in 2002 when Woolworths refused to stock the second hit. I remember seeing that they'd promoted numbers 10 and 11 to 9 and 10, respectively. I believe that their demise started the moment they disregarded Otway and the charts. In protest, I haven't bought anything there since. Obviously, I'm not the only one - look at where they are now! ;-)

A few years back I purchased a second hand LP called "Aylesbury goes flaccid" mainly because it had a Wild Willy Barret track (Nigel Pringle) on it...its a comp album with 14 different bands from Aylesbury on it....Otway is on the LP although only spoken word intros and bits and bobs here and there inbettween songs....look out for it some tracks are good tunes....its on Flaccid Records..Flac1..dated 1978...
Thanks for that information. I've added an entry on the Discography page, and created a page for this recording, here.
